چکیده

This paper considers the implementation of a two-position ground penetrating radar (GPR) located on board unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and designed for operational search groundwater in arid desert regions Mongolia, which is an extremely urgent task. With help synthesizing GPR antenna aperture UAV, significant increase information content achieved compared to existing GPRs, since it becomes possible obtain panoramic image subsurface layers probed medium with required resolution sufficiently wide swath. On other hand, necessary efficiency (required, example, when monitoring vast areas) can only be field view created basis sounding principle, where emitting receiving signals are formed processed UAVs different or equal heights flying same speed spaced orthogonally direction their movement, makes use quasi-mirror reflection. In this case, swath will noticeably larger than case nadir sounding. condensed form, article following issues: model aquifer, geometry mode, up features (Doppler narrowing radiation pattern) antenna, resolution, potential reliable detection aquifer horizon, accuracy measurements its depth, as well need experimental work test theoretical provisions.

Subsurface Imaging using Ground-Penetrating Radar Measurements

Much work has been done toward reconstructing the electrical parameters of an unknown buried object. Many methods, and accompanying results from simulations, have been presented. Most research in the area, however, has been in developing imaging algorithms that have been tested primarily through computer simulation. This paper presents a newly constructed facility for ground-penetrating radar e...

Robotic Subsurface Mapping Using Ground Penetrating Radar

The goal of our research is to develop an autonomous robot for subsurface mapping. We are motivated by the growing need for mapping buried pipes, hazardous waste, landmines and other buried objects. Most of these are large scale mapping problems, and to manually construct subsurface maps in these cases would require a significant amount of resources. Therefore, automating the subsurface mapping...

Compressive sensing for subsurface imaging using ground penetrating radar

The theory of compressive sensing (CS) enables the reconstruction of sparse signals from a small set of non-adaptive linear measurements by solving a convex ‘1 minimization problem. This paper presents a novel data acquisition system for wideband synthetic aperture imaging based on CS by exploiting sparseness of pointlike targets in the image space. Instead of measuring sensor returns by sampli...

Subsurface surveying by a rover equipped with ground-penetrating radar

We discuss our experiences in integrating a commercial off-the-shelf ground-penetrating radar unit with an all-terrain rover. Straight-line subsurface surveys were generated in a fully autonomous manner using odometry and a simple visual servoing technique. Survey results for various terrains are presented. We discuss the configuration of the integrated system and make recommendations for both ...
